Z Venture Capital (“ZVC”) has participated in the Series B round of UTAITE Inc. (“UTAITE”), a company specializing in the development and operation of 2.5D IP content.

This marks ZVC’s fourth investment in UTAITE, following its participation in the seed, Series A, and Series A extension rounds.

I first met UTAITE’s founding team, Mr. Kurata and Mr. Shiraishi, in the summer of 2023.

Since then, in just over two years, the company has evolved at a remarkable pace. Their speed and execution continue to impress us.

Among Japan’s globally celebrated content industries—manga, anime, games, and VTubers—the “2.5D performer/utaite” market that UTAITE is pioneering stands out as an especially compelling space. It blends a deeply engaged fan community with strong global potential.

The Series B round brings together a diverse group of investors and partners from both Japan and abroad, providing a strong foundation for UTAITE to scale into a world-class entertainment company.
