Investing in AB180

by Josh Jung

Z Venture Capital (“ZVC”) has invested in the Series C round of AB180, the Korea-headquartered adtech company behind Airbridge, a global mobile measurement partner (MMP), and Airflux, an AI-powered ad and in-app revenue optimization engine.

AB180 sits on two products that reinforce each other. Airbridge collects in-app user behavior through its own SDK and API and, through official partnerships with the major ad platforms, pulls impression, click, and cost data from each channel — fusing the two into the full user journey to deliver the most accurate, granular attribution in the market.

Airflux then puts that data to work, automatically optimizing ad timing, frequency, and rewarded-video value per user segment to maximize LTV. One product tells the truth about marketing; the other turns that truth into revenue.

Why we invested

A structural inflection point: from reseller to proprietary-product company, and now the clear leader at home . For much of its history AB180’s economics leaned on reselling. That has fundamentally changed. Its own measurement and AI ad products now drive the business, and Airbridge’s proprietary ARR has overtaken the legacy resale line — not a mix shift at the margin but a different company, one whose growth is scalable and defensible because it comes from products AB180 owns.

On the back of that shift, Airbridge has become the leading MMP in Korea, and the momentum is durable: customer satisfaction runs high, and we saw repeated land-and-expand cases where an initial contract expanded many times over.

A structural moat built on access that compounds . In this market the real barrier is access. The largest ad platforms grant deep measurement integrations by invitation only, and Airbridge holds official partner status with the largest ad platforms, including Google, Meta, and TikTok. Only a handful of companies in the world have earned this multi-platform status. Winning it meant clearing a years-long, platform-by-platform chicken-and-egg problem a well-funded newcomer cannot simply buy its way through. And the advantage compounds: every customer and channel deepens the measurement data, which sharpens the product, which wins the next customer. Access gets you to the starting line; the compounding data advantage pulls the leader further ahead each year.

A rare profile for a Korean SaaS company: sustainable and growing . Korean SaaS companies that deliver both consistent growth and genuine sustainability are scarce — many once high-profile names stumbled on one or the other. AB180 pairs steady top-line growth with the two things most growth-stage SaaS names lack: healthy, improving cash flow and a real path to profitability. Cash conversion and unit economics keep improving, and the company has reached monthly break-even. Consistent growth with healthy economics — rare in Korean SaaS.

An AI product pipeline that is moving faster . Airbridge is evolving from a measurement and analytics tool into an AI-native marketing platform, building AI-agent capabilities on top of the data it already owns. Its next-generation agent, Airbridge GO, is already in development and testing — designed to run the marketing process autonomously, from data analysis and strategy through campaign execution and optimization. Alongside it, Airflux is scaling from LTV optimization toward a full-stack AI monetization engine. These are not roadmap slides; they are shipping products, and the cadence is accelerating.

Why Now

The catalyst is AI — and it turns measurement into the foundation everything runs on.

Our view here is deliberately pragmatic. The common narrative is that AI will disrupt advertising. We hold the opposite view — AI is not collapsing the ad market but multiplying its channels and raising the bar on the technology needed to measure them. Global ad spend is heading toward roughly $1.3 trillion and, in the U.S., accelerating, precisely because AI-driven performance marketing works. Every incremental dollar has to be measured, and measurement is only getting harder.

The ad model is expanding onto new surfaces, not disappearing. LLM platforms are becoming ad channels themselves — OpenAI began serving ads in ChatGPT in early 2026, with xAI’s Grok and Google’s AI surfaces on the same path — while retail media, commerce platforms, and AI apps each turn into their own ad networks.

As it multiplies across dozens of new, walled surfaces, each grading its own homework, the result is a direct tailwind for a neutral, cross-channel platform that standardizes the truth — and AB180 is ahead of it, with Web + App analytics that trace traffic flowing from AI platforms into advertisers’ properties.

Neutral measurement is moving from advantage to essential infrastructure. When algorithms make the buying decisions, measurement shaped by a self-interested platform distorts the incentives of the whole ecosystem — a scorekeeper who also plays the game cannot be trusted to keep score. Independent, cross-channel measurement becomes the layer the market is built on, and the largest players in advertising increasingly treat it as a strategic asset worth protecting. That is the market AB180 is part of — and one of the few players with the access to build it.

Looking ahead

On the foundation it has built — proprietary products at an inflection point, a compounding data moat, consistent growth with healthy economics, and clear leadership at home — AB180’s next chapter is about building outward, not defending. It will push its AI product initiative further, extending Airbridge and Airflux into an AI-native engine that runs on the data it already owns; develop a self-serve, lean product that lets customers adopt and expand without a sales-led motion, appealing in particular to the new generation of AI-native apps; and take all of this global, turning a category leader at home into the platform a diversifying, AI-driven ad market increasingly needs — the trusted measurement layer beneath it, and the AI marketing-and-monetization engine built on top. We are proud to back the team as it does exactly that.
