Former member of the House of Representatives (2017-2021) and lawyer. Koichi was a member of the House of Representatives Committee on Economy, Trade and Industry and the Special Committee on Regional Development, etc., and received the highest rating of "Three Stars" (top 2%) for Diet member activities for two consecutive years in the regular Diet session. During his term of office, he visited 15 countries and regions, conducting parliamentary diplomacy to improve Japan's standing in the world and to promote international cooperation.
He also worked for Sony, Yahoo, and YJ Capital, where he was involved in Internet-related and startup support activities. After his term as a member of the Diet, he served as a board member of a foreign online travel agency while managing an impact fund, and joined Z Venture Capital as CFO in July 2023.
He is also a former director of a TSE-listed chain store, a member of the Discipline and Fair Play Committee of the Japan Football Association, a former FIFA agent, and a specially-appointed lecturer at Nagasaki University.
